Panevino Italian Restaurant

panevino stamfordIt’s not everyday that Stamford gets a new restaurant but on 11th June 2025 a license was approved for Panevino Italian Restaurant, which will be located at The Riverside in Wharf Road, Stamford. It’s owner Dmitrij Bliumin, who has 20 years experience, and wife Inga already have longstanding Panevino restaurants in Chepstow and Sleaford and so it will be interesting to see what culinary staples and surprises they bring when their restaurant opens in Stamford.

The license, approved by South Kesteven District Council allows alcohol to be served from 10am to midnight as well as live and recorded music to be played at the currently empty venue (it was previously home to beauty salon AUK and hairdressers Thomas and Thomas). The venue has an outdoor seating area that overlooks the river and (despite some objections on the grounds of possible noise) the option to dine al fresco in such a beautiful setting will surely appeal to many residents and visitors to the area. The venue hasn’t previously been a restaurant,  so while work needs to be put in to, we’re told that it’s still likely to open in 2025.

As PaneVino Stamford is not yet open, one of the best ways of getting a flavour for future the menu and pricing is to check out the Sleaford Panevino menu . Ira (wife of Dmitrij) was kind enough to give us a feel of what to expect:

There will be a large choice of seafood dishes, grilled meat dishes as well as all traditional Italian food such as pizzas, pastas, etc. It’s a big pleasure for our family to take on these lovely premises, turning it into our family restaurant“.

It certainly looks like Panevino will bring something new to Stamford, and personally we can’t wait to have a meal and glass of wine by the river!
