Melbourn Brothers

File this one under ‘coming soon’ or perhaps not as the case may be. the inclusion of the Mebourn Brothers pub in our guide is on the basis that it was one of the most beloved pubs in Stamford, and one or the victims over covid essentially. There have however been rumblings that this historic pub may return, though it must be pointed out that these are not exactly recent – for a year now there has been a job advertisement by Samuel Smith looking for two people to run the pub.

For those in the know, the Melbourn Brothers was a popular All Saints’ Street watering hole. Founded in 1816 and with a brewery still operating on site, the pub was known for its organic fruit beers and old world charm. With a courtyard with outdoor seating and hearty food on offer it was one of Stamford stand out pubs. Dog Friendly and with plenty of room upstairs and down, plenty or people are hoping to one day see the return of this must visit establishment.
