The Hurdler has an authentic ‘local’ feel about it, so you’re likely to see familar faces returning. This gives it an authentic feel and makes it a nice spot to stop for a pint. A little removed from central Stamford pubs, it’s still essentially just a short walk away and is well worth a visit. The venue offers traditional pub grub, and is dog friendly. Plenty of different beers and spirts are available, and a generously sized TV means that if you’re there to watch the game you’re likely to get a front row seat to the action. There’s a fruit machine, and sporty feel to the venue and you may well see an amusing ‘we had a good team on paper. Unfortunately, the game was played on grass’ Brian Clough quote if you look up. This spacious venue has a lot going for it.
