It’s me, your canine correspondant on the Stamford scene, Cassie. Today, I had a break in my otherwise busy barking schedule so decided to have a breakfast bite to eat in local cafe, Lamberts. As you can see, it’s a nicely set out spot for ‘hoomans’, and is tucked away down a side street in town (5 Cheyne Lane) next to my favourite restaurant, Pet’s Korner.
The hooman food in Lambert’s was nicely presented, though not the cheapest (vegetarian breakfast and smoked salmon & scrambed eggs, both about £10 a piece). I may well check out a couple of other spots to get a feel of where it sits against those cafes, but can see why Lamberts would be a lovely place for a coffee or tea. The highlight for me .. and only thing that matters really.. was of course the dog friendly menu. A lovely touch with some great options on the menu. Word must have got around, as there were a couple of other pampered pooches in Lamberts Kitchen too. I said my own special hello, ‘Cassie Style’. If you happen to catch me in Lambert’s (cafe opening times) feel free to buy me a Bark Burger or Paw Star Martini! It would be paw form not to! No autographs tho (but I do love my fans) x
