From dates Wednesday 13th – Sunday 17th August 2025 Woods Fun fair comes to Stamford. It’ll be on Stamford Recreation Ground (PE9 1EN) and will feature food stalls and all of your favourite fair rides and attractions (waltzers, the sizzler, dodgems, the Extreme – which I had the pleasure to try out earlier in the year and was certainly a ‘memorable’ experience!). Rides open from 2pm so come along if you have the stomach for it.
New for 2025 is the introduction of ‘Quiet Hours‘ at the funfair on Sat & Sun betwee 2pm – 3pm. It’s billed as ‘all the fun of the fair just without the music or amplified sound’ and will definitely be preferable to some, or an opportunity to go to the fair where they may have otherwise have chosen or needed to stay away.
Fun for all the family, the event has often taken place in October each year but in recent years its turned into a summer fair and we certainly have the weather for that right now, as we did last year! The family run fair (Ashley Woods funfairs) has been going for 30 years plus now, so you’re in good hands. It’s free entry too of course. Come along and join the fun!
If you’re not able to attest there is always the Stamford Mid Lent Fair in town late March, early April too.
