Gone are the days where every restaurant is bad for Vegetarian options, but at the same time some spots are much better for veggie and vegan friendly options than others, so below we highlight some of our go to vegetarian and vegan places to eat out.
The Kings Head: Whether it’s their Mooless Melt or Fruitjack and Beet burger, the Kings Head take their vegan and vegatarian food seriously and are s agreat option at a reasonable price. A friendly (and dog friendly!) spot too. Check out the menu.
The Slanted Door: If you’re looking for more of a fine dining experience, then The Slanted Door should be high on your list. With lunchtime and Dinner options that won’t break the bank it’s well worth a visit. Some of the vegan and veggie menu options on offer include ‘Vegan creamed wild mushrooms, potato gnocchi, sun bleached tomatoes’ and ‘Vegatable Panang Curry, Sticky Rice and Falafel.’
Orbis: If you’re a fan of small plates when there are several veggie and vegan options in Orbis’ Taste The World menu. The Bang Bang Cauliflower is especially nice!
The Blonde Beet is a bistro also well deserving of mention, as it’s a largely plant based cafe with locally sources ingredients which has a really unqiue and quirky feel to it. With a regularly changing menu or hot meals and salads, it’s well worth checking out their monthly menu to see what’s on offer,
